AEBN Releases ‘Blu’ Electronic Cigarettes

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — AEBN has teamed with Blu Cigs to release a product that allows users to “electronically” smoke cigarettes without actually inhaling or releasing anything harmful.

Blu Cigs’ Jason Healy told XBIZ that he came across the concept of electronic cigarettes last year and spent eight months of research and development to create a product that uses flavored water vapor to give the illusion of smoking real cigarettes.

“We want to become not only the most successful product on the market but a product that offers people a safer alternative to smoking traditional cigarettes,” Healy said.

AEBN's Liz Wright told XBIZ that the user that the e-cigarettes contain an atomizer that delivers water vapor, with flavor and the desired level of nicotine, should the user want it, through a replaceable cartridge.

“The ‘smoke’ is, in fact, simply water vapor, which is odorless and harmless," Wright said. "The smoker doesn't get stained teeth or fingers, never burns anything, and doesn't have to have stinky ashtrays anymore.”

This also means Blu Cigs can be used legally anywhere without fear of second-hand smoke offending or harming anyone else nearby, and are completely void of the tar and chemicals that make smoking harmful to the user.

Healy said that Blu Cigs are offered in four levels of nicotine intensity: Full Strength (16mg) — the equivalent of a regular cigarette — Light (12 mg), Ultra Light (8 mg) and No Nicotine (0 mg).

Wright told XBIZ that the starter kit, which retails for $59.95 at BluCigs.com, two batteries, a charger, and 25 flavor cartridges. Flavors include vanilla, coffee, menthol and classic tobacco.

Healy said Blu and AEBN work closely together but are two separate entities.
